StakeStone's move in context
Beating the market today
+4.32% in 24 hours against +0.73% for the market as a whole, a gap of 3.6 points. A gap this wide suggests something specific to StakeStone may be moving it, not just the market mood.
We compare the last 24 hours with this coin's typical day, from 11 recent days (up to four weeks). We only count exchanges we read on both days, so an exchange we've just added doesn't look like extra trading. This describes trading, not where the price goes next.
$93.15K traded in the last 24 hours on the exchanges we read, close to its usual day.
The price of each exchange's last trade, read in the past few minutes, in US dollars or dollar stablecoins; markets with little trading are left out. Gaps under 1% are everyday: fees and the gap between buying and selling prices take up most of them.
StakeStone's last prices on 3 exchanges we read are within 0.22% of each other, so the price above isn't one exchange's quirk.

About StakeStone
StakeStone: an omnichain liquidity protocol and its STO token
StakeStone is a DeFi protocol that issues yield-bearing assets, such as STONE (liquid ETH) and the Bitcoin-based SBTC and STONEBTC, and moves their liquidity across many blockchains, which it calls omnichain. STO is its governance token, issued on Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain. StakeStone describes its wider aim as building a crypto-native neo bank.
Key Aspects of StakeStone
1. STONE, liquid ETH
STONE is a yield-bearing liquid ETH token: the yield accrues to holders. STONE and its price feed are designed to move across multiple chains, and holders can choose instant withdrawals on any chain.
2. SBTC and STONEBTC
SBTC, short for StakeStoneBTC, is designed as a liquid Bitcoin index token made up of a basket of tokens that represent Bitcoin on other blockchains, mainly BTCB. STONEBTC is a related Bitcoin asset with its own vaults.
3. LiquidityPad
LiquidityPad is StakeStone's omnichain liquidity issuance platform. It connects Ethereum's liquidity with emerging blockchains: projects set up pre-deposit vaults to attract liquidity, and liquidity providers can earn project incentives.
4. What the STO token is used for
STO is locked as veSTO (vote-escrowed STO) to gain voting power in proportion to the amount locked. veSTO holders vote on how STO rewards are split among the protocol's pools and vaults, and locking veSTO also boosts the holder's yield on liquidity they provide. When STO is offered as an incentive for a pool, part of it is burned on deposit.
5. Token design
STO has a total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. A Swap & Burn mechanism lets holders exchange STO for a proportional share of the treasury's other assets, such as ETH, BTC and stablecoins; the STO swapped in is burned (permanently removed).
