Newton Protocol's move in context
Moving with the market
+0.85% in 24 hours, close to the whole market (+0.73%). Nothing specific to Newton Protocol stands out in the price.
We compare the last 24 hours with this coin's typical day, from 11 recent days (up to four weeks). We only count exchanges we read on both days, so an exchange we've just added doesn't look like extra trading. This describes trading, not where the price goes next.
$80.68K traded in the last 24 hours on the exchanges we read, close to its usual day.
The price of each exchange's last trade, read in the past few minutes, in US dollars or dollar stablecoins; markets with little trading are left out. Gaps under 1% are everyday: fees and the gap between buying and selling prices take up most of them.
Newton Protocol's last prices on 4 exchanges we read are within 0.74% of each other, so the price above isn't one exchange's quirk.
Part of a slide
−3.3% over 7 days and −10.7% over 30 days: the recent move continues the monthly direction.

About Newton Protocol
Newton Protocol: rules that check transactions before they run
Newton Protocol is a decentralised policy engine for on-chain transaction authorisation: it checks each transaction against rules, such as spending limits, sanctions screening, fraud prevention or compliance requirements, before it executes. It runs as a service on EigenLayer, which lets networks be secured by restaked ETH, and works with EVM-compatible chains. Its NEWT token, announced by the Magic Newton Foundation, launched in June 2025.
Key Aspects of Newton Protocol
1. How it works
Newton brings off-chain information, such as identity checks or market data, to smart contracts. A decentralised network of operators evaluates each rule and backs every decision with a combined cryptographic signature. Only hashes and commitments go on-chain, so personal data is not exposed.
2. What the NEWT token is used for
Operators stake NEWT to join the network and can lose part of it for provable misbehaviour, and holders can delegate NEWT to operators without running infrastructure. Apps pay fees for using the protocol, which go to the operators, and challengers stake NEWT to dispute incorrect responses.
3. Token design
The supply is fixed at 1 billion NEWT, with no inflationary minting and no burning designed in after launch.
4. Enforcement in the contract
Rules are enforced at the smart-contract level, so they apply wherever a transaction comes from, whether a wallet, an app or an AI agent.
5. Who it is for
Newton is built for wallets, decentralised apps, DeFi protocols and AI agents, and for regulated financial institutions that need on-chain activity to follow clear rules.
Newton Protocol's Milestones
The Magic Newton Foundation announced NEWT in June 2025, and the token generation event and airdrop claim went live on 24 June 2025. In September 2025, the project published its paper describing Newton Protocol as a decentralised policy engine for on-chain compliance. Its mainnet beta went live on Base and Ethereum in June 2026.
