Beating the market today
+5.12% in 24 hours against +0.74% for the market as a whole, a gap of 4.4 points. A gap this wide suggests something specific to Usual may be moving it, not just the market mood.

$1.43M traded in the last 24 hours on the exchanges we read, about 3.2 times its usual day.
The price of each exchange's last trade, read in the past few minutes, in US dollars or dollar stablecoins; markets with little trading are left out. Gaps under 1% are everyday: fees and the gap between buying and selling prices take up most of them.
Usual's last prices on 5 exchanges we read are within 0.32% of each other, so the price above isn't one exchange's quirk.

About Usual
Usual: a community-owned stablecoin issuer and its USUAL token
Usual is a decentralized issuer of stablecoins, tokens designed to keep a steady value of one US dollar. Its stablecoin, USD0, is backed by US Treasury Bills, short-term US government debt. USUAL is the protocol's governance and ownership token. Usual Labs was founded in France in 2022, and the USUAL token launched in November 2024 on Ethereum.
Key Aspects of Usual
1. How USD0 works
Each USD0 is backed by real-world assets, US Treasury Bills. The protocol is designed so that the people who deposit capital into the stablecoin can also own the issuer and share in its economics, rather than a company keeping that value.
2. What USUAL is used for
USUAL holders govern the protocol: they vote on protocol settings, which assets are accepted and how the treasury is managed. USUAL also represents ownership of the protocol, part of whose revenue is shared with holders who lock their tokens.
3. Staking with USUALx
Staking USUAL gives USUALx, which receives a share of USUAL emissions. Locked USUALx earns revenue distributions paid in USD0.
4. Token design
New USUAL is released through daily emissions, up to a maximum supply set by governance. USUAL is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, with versions on other networks.
5. Who it is for
Usual is for people who want a dollar stablecoin backed by government debt, and for USUAL holders who want to take part in governing the protocol and share in its revenue.
Usual's Milestones
In 2022, Usual Labs was founded in France. In May 2024, USD0 launched. In November 2024, the USUAL token and USUALx launched. In January 2025, the revenue switch was activated, starting weekly revenue distributions to locked USUAL holders. In May 2025, the USUALx lockup was introduced, letting holders lock USUALx for one to twelve months. In November 2025, governance proposal UIP-11 lowered USUAL's maximum supply from 4 billion to 3 billion.
