Portal is a cross-chain gaming platform whose PORTAL token launched in February 2024, built to let players reach Web3 games on many blockchains through a single account. PORTAL is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. Alongside its gaming platform, Portal builds AI tools that help creators make game assets and games, with rewards paid in Shards.

PORTAL was designed to buy in-game items, pay cross-chain transaction fees, stake for access to tokens and NFTs on the launchpad, and buy and run validator nodes that support the network.
3. Token design
The maximum supply is fixed at 1 billion PORTAL, split between the community, the treasury, the team and investors and released on a set schedule.
4. Creator tools
Nexus lets creators generate game-ready sprites, audio and art, and Gen8 turns a game concept into something playable from prompts. Creators earn Shards through Portal's apps, events and game jams and can spend them on gift cards for the games they play.
5. Who it is for
Portal is built for players who want easy access to Web3 games, and for game creators and hobbyists who want to build quickly with AI tools.
