Hathor's move in context
Lagging the market today
−6.74% in 24 hours against +0.79% for the market as a whole, a gap of 7.5 points. A gap this wide suggests something specific to Hathor may be moving it, not just the market mood.
We compare the last 24 hours with this coin's typical day, from 11 recent days (up to four weeks). We only count exchanges we read on both days, so an exchange we've just added doesn't look like extra trading. This describes trading, not where the price goes next.
$68.31K traded in the last 24 hours on the exchanges we read, close to its usual day.
The price of each exchange's last trade, read in the past few minutes, in US dollars or dollar stablecoins; markets with little trading are left out. Gaps under 1% are everyday: fees and the gap between buying and selling prices take up most of them.
Hathor's last prices on 2 exchanges we read are within 0.50% of each other, so the price above isn't one exchange's quirk.
Part of a slide
−24.6% over 7 days and −54.2% over 30 days: the recent move continues the monthly direction.

About Hathor
Hathor: a layer 1 blockchain for simple tokens and Python smart contracts
Hathor Network is a layer 1 blockchain: a base network with its own rules and security, rather than one built on top of another chain. It is designed for tokenization, notarization and Web3 apps, with tokens built into the protocol, and it is secured by merged mining with Bitcoin. The network is developed by Hathor Labs, and its native token is HTR.
Key Aspects of Hathor
1. Blocks and transactions in a DAG
In Hathor, both transactions and blocks are points in a directed acyclic graph (DAG), a structure where each new item links back to earlier ones. Blocks act as checkpoints that confirm transactions rather than containers that hold them, so the number of transactions is not limited by the size of a block.
2. Merged mining with Bitcoin
Hathor uses proof of work, the same kind of security as Bitcoin. Through merged mining, Bitcoin miners can also mine Hathor using the same computing power they already use for Bitcoin.
3. Tokens without smart contracts
Anyone can create a token on Hathor directly in the protocol, without writing a smart contract. Deposit tokens need a refundable deposit of 1% in HTR and can then be sent without fees; fee tokens need no deposit but charge a small fee on each transfer.
4. Nano Contracts
Nano Contracts are Hathor's smart contracts: programs that run on the blockchain. Developers write them in Python, a widely used programming language, using templates called blueprints.
5. What HTR is used for
HTR pays for fees and network services such as creating tokens, notarizing data and running contracts. Simple HTR transfers carry no fee, and HTR is the currency for the deposit behind deposit tokens.
Hathor's Milestones
In late 2025, Nano Contracts reached Hathor's mainnet through the network's feature-activation process, starting with node release v0.67.1 in October 2025. In early 2026, fee tokens were activated on mainnet, following node release v0.69.0 in February 2026.

- Price × coins in circulation. It measures a coin's size, not its quality.
- We show a market cap only once the coins in circulation are confirmed by a source we read ourselves, such as an exchange's published figures or the project's own. Until then a coin has no market cap or rank here.
