GUNZ is a blockchain network for games created by Gunzilla Games, and GUN is its native token. It is a standalone Layer 1 blockchain that runs as a subnet within the Avalanche ecosystem (its own chain with its own rules, using Avalanche technology), and it is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, so it can run Ethereum-style smart contracts. The first game to run on GUNZ is Off The Grid, a free-to-play battle royale shooter.

1. Built for Games
GUNZ lets in-game items exist as NFTs, unique digital items recorded on a blockchain, so players can own them and trade them on a marketplace.
2. HEX Decoding
When an in-game item called a HEX is decoded, a Validator NFT is selected to handle the minting, and the GUN fees paid in that transaction go to the Validator NFT's owner.
3. Validator NFTs
Validator NFTs come in five rarity tiers: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Ancient. Higher tiers have greater hash power and earn higher resale commission rates. Owners earn the GUN fees from the decodes they handle, plus a percentage each time an item they minted is traded on the marketplace.
4. What the GUN Token Is Used For
GUN is the main currency for transactions and gas fees on the GUNZ network, and it supports the NFTs within the ecosystem, including the fees for HEX decoding.
5. Token Design
GUN is burned as part of the HEX decoding process, which permanently removes those tokens from supply.
