Electroneum's move in context
Lagging the market today
−7.80% in 24 hours against +0.73% for the market as a whole, a gap of 8.5 points. A gap this wide suggests something specific to Electroneum may be moving it, not just the market mood.
We compare the last 24 hours with this coin's typical day, from 11 recent days (up to four weeks). We only count exchanges we read on both days, so an exchange we've just added doesn't look like extra trading. This describes trading, not where the price goes next.
$467.06K traded in the last 24 hours on the exchanges we read, close to its usual day.
The price of each exchange's last trade, read in the past few minutes, in US dollars or dollar stablecoins; markets with little trading are left out. Gaps under 1% are everyday: fees and the gap between buying and selling prices take up most of them.
Electroneum's last prices on 4 exchanges we read are within 0.68% of each other, so the price above isn't one exchange's quirk.
Part of a slide
−23.5% over 7 days and −20.7% over 30 days: the recent move continues the monthly direction.

About Electroneum
Electroneum: an EVM-compatible layer 1 blockchain with fast finality
Electroneum is a layer 1 blockchain, a base network of its own, that runs smart contracts compatible with Ethereum. It started in 2017 as a cryptocurrency designed to be easy to use on mobile phones, and later rebuilt its network for smart contracts as Electroneum 2.0, developed under the name Aurelius. Electroneum is developed by Electroneum Ltd, a company registered in England, and its native coin is ETN.
Key Aspects of Electroneum
1. Ethereum-compatible smart contracts
Electroneum runs the EVM, the Ethereum Virtual Machine that executes smart contracts. Developers can deploy Ethereum-style apps written in Solidity and use the Ethereum tools they already know.
2. IBFT consensus with known validators
The network uses IBFT (Istanbul Byzantine Fault Tolerance): a set of validators vote on each block, and once they agree, the block is final. Electroneum describes this as 5-second, single-block finality. Its validators are trusted organisations that Electroneum describes as NGOs and universities.
3. What ETN is used for
ETN pays the transaction fees on the Electroneum network, where a transfer costs a small fraction of one ETN.
4. A mobile-first history
Electroneum began with a focus on people new to crypto. Its early app let users earn ETN on their phones through simulated mobile mining, and the network later moved from mining to a validator-based model.
Electroneum's Milestones
2017: Electroneum launched with a public fundraising round of nearly 120,000 participants. 2018: its app let users earn ETN through simulated mobile mining. 2021: the network replaced mining with Proof of Responsibility, a validator network of NGOs and academic institutions. 2024: the Electroneum Aurelius testnet introduced smart contracts. 2025: Electroneum 2.0 launched as an EVM-compatible layer 1 with 5-second finality.

- We show a market cap only once the coins in circulation are confirmed by a source we read ourselves, such as an exchange's published figures or the project's own. Until then a coin has no market cap or rank here.
