Dogelon Mars: a story-driven meme token with its own layer 2 chain
Dogelon Mars (ELON) is a community meme token that began on Ethereum. Its brand is a space-adventure story: the character Dogelon Mars explores the mysteries of the universe on a mission to reach Mars. ELON is also the native token of Rufus Chain, the project's own layer 2 network, and holders use ELON to vote on the project's direction.
Key Aspects of Dogelon Mars
1. A meme with a story
Dogelon Mars presents itself with the line: missed DOGE going to the moon? Join us on the mission to Mars. Around the character, the project offers an AI tool for creating Dogelon scenes, GIFs, a merchandise shop and a public brand kit.
2. Rufus Chain
Rufus Chain is a layer 2: a network that runs on top of another blockchain to make transactions cheaper. It is built with the Arbitrum Nitro technology, together with Caldera, and ELON is its native token, used to pay network fees. The Dogelon DAO, the community's on-chain voting group, approved its creation through a proposal and governs it.
3. Fees that are burned
Every transaction on Rufus Chain pays its fee in ELON, and that ELON is permanently burned (destroyed), which reduces the number of tokens over time.
4. Supply and bridges
On Ethereum, ELON's contract has a maximum total supply of one quadrillion (1,000,000,000,000,000) tokens. ELON can be moved between Ethereum and Rufus Chain with bridges, and the project's site also offers a bridge for ELON to Solana.
