1. How it works
Client assets stay with a regulated custodian, while positions are mirrored to trading venues for execution and risk management. This keeps custody separate from trading and keeps legal ownership clear, while the assets can still earn yield and be used on-chain.
2. BounceBit Prime
Prime is BounceBit's platform for institutions. It turns tokenised cash equivalents, such as tokenised money market funds, into collateral that can be used for trading, margin or financing, and that can move at any hour, while the underlying assets stay in regulated custody.
3. What the BB token is used for
BB is BounceBit's native token. The project's documentation describes it as a token that can be staked, that pays network fees, and that gives holders votes on matters such as protocol upgrades.

The supply of BB is capped at 2.1 billion, a nod to Bitcoin's 21 million cap.
