Bitgert: the project behind Brise Chain and its BRISE coin
Bitgert (BRISE) is the project behind Brise Chain, a blockchain where BRISE is the native coin. BRISE first existed as a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain, and those tokens were converted to the native coin once the chain was running; a version of BRISE also exists on Ethereum. Bitgert builds a set of apps around the chain, from an exchange to a payment gateway.

1. How it works
Brise Chain uses Proof of Authority, a design where a set of approved validators produce blocks; the candidates with the most stake bonded become validators, and validators that sign conflicting blocks are penalised. This allows short block times and low fees.
2. Compatible with Ethereum tools
The chain is EVM-compatible, meaning it runs the same kind of smart contracts as Ethereum, so developers can bring Ethereum projects over and wallets such as MetaMask can connect to it.
3. What the BRISE coin is used for
BRISE is used to send and receive value on Brise Chain, and users and developers can issue their own tokens on the network to represent assets. Holders can also stake BRISE through the project's staking site.
4. The ecosystem
Bitgert has built apps around its chain, including its own exchange, a peer-to-peer marketplace, the PayBrise payment gateway, BrisePump for trading meme coins and an AI audit platform, along with bridges that move BRISE between chains.
